Our Financial Services practice group, led by Managing Partner Nazmi Zaini and supported by Associate Maryam Amilah, advised Beez Fintech Sdn. Bhd., the owner of Bayarlah, on its strategic collaboration with Payments Network Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet) to enhance payment solutions for its merchants. This initiative includes enabling cross-border payment acceptance through a unified QR code.
Concurrently, our Advisory & Compliance team, under the supervision of Fakhrul Fadzilah together with Associate Husna Shariff, advised Bayarlah on compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia’s Policy Document on Merchant Acquiring Services, as well as obligations relating to anti-money laundering, customer due diligence, and fraud management under applicable laws and guidelines.
As one of Malaysia’s significant large merchant acquirers, Bayarlah has successfully processed over RM300 million in payment transactions, benefitting approximately 11,000 active merchants nationwide.
