Our Firm, Nazmi Zaini Chambers, led by Kevin Richard Nathan and supported by Afif Che Had, advised the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in connection with its naming rights partnership with Queens Park Rangers F.C. for the MATRADE Loftus Road Stadium.
The partnership was formalised through the execution of a Naming Rights Agreement, establishing a strategic platform for Malaysia’s international trade promotion and global brand positioning through sports.
Our roles included drafting, reviewing and negotiating the transaction documents as well as providing legal and strategic advice on key aspects of the arrangement. We also assisted MATRADE in stakeholder engagements leading up to the execution of the agreement.
This matter highlights our Firm’s experience in advising on cross-border commercial arrangements and strategic branding initiatives involving international partnerships and high-visibility assets.
