  • Our services include PDPA gap assessments, remediation roadmaps, privacy notices, SOPs, incident response playbooks, DPO-as-a-Service, breach readiness, notification protocols, privacy-by-design support, vendor onboarding, Data Protection Impact Assessments, data sharing and cross-border transfer advisory, and contract support for data protection arrangements.
  • We advise public-sector, statutory and institutional clients on legal reform, policy development and regulatory modernisation.
  • Our work includes review and amendment of statutes and subsidiary legislation, drafting of consultation papers, policy papers, proposed legislative amendments, explanatory statements, stakeholder consultation inputs, regulatory impact analysis, implementation planning, benchmarking studies and special projects requiring discretion, rapid turnaround and senior oversight.
  • Advised and acted for Desan Shipyard, a Turkish shipyard active in shipbuilding, ship repair and conversion, on transaction structuring and negotiation of key commercial terms for a proposed joint venture involving its Malaysian operating vehicle, Henry The Black Shipyard, and Straits of Melaka Waterfront Economic Zone Corporation. The engagement included advice on the establishment and governance of the project SPV, Enrique of Malacca Shipyard Sdn. Bhd., for an integrated shipyard-led development within the Melaka waterfront economic zone, with an estimated project value of RM1.8 billion.
  • Advised and acted for MD NETA Engineering & Constructions LTD, a Turkish engineering and construction group involved in coastal, port and shipyard structures, on Malaysia market entry and mobilisation. Our scope included branch set-up support, preparation and review of operational documents, foreign contractor registration and licensing facilitation with CIDB Malaysia, and coordination of permitting and customs clearance workstreams required for mobilisation.
  • Advising FINAS, the government agency established under the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia Act 1981, on proposed amendments to Act 244. The work focuses on legal and regulatory alignment for industry development, governance and enforcement strengthening, the digital content landscape, technological developments and workforce welfare safeguards in the creative industry.
