Azrul graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2019. He is an Advocate and Solicitor whose practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, regulatory matters and intellectual property, with experience handling complex disputes across multiple tiers of the Malaysian court system.
 
He commenced his legal practice in dispute resolution and has since advised and represented individuals, corporations and financial institutions across a broad spectrum of contentious and advisory matters. His litigation experience spans contractual disputes, shareholder and corporate conflicts, insolvency and restructuring matters, employment and industrial relations disputes as well as debt recovery and enforcement proceedings. He is also regularly involved in strategic negotiations and settlement structuring, with experience drafting and negotiating commercial and financing instruments, including Islamic factoring and structured financing arrangements.
 
In addition to his dispute resolution practice, Azrul heads the firm’s Intellectual Property practice and is a registered Trademark Agent. He advises clients on trademark registration and portfolio management, enforcement strategies, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and brand protection frameworks. His intellectual property work includes advising startups, SMEs and established corporations on trademark strategy, IP risk management and cross-border trademark filings, working closely with foreign associates across multiple jurisdictions.
