Afif graduated with Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons.) and LL.B (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia and was subsequently admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2016.

Throughout his career, Afif has worked as an Associate at Messrs. Ashraff Al Hirzan & Associates, a Sole Proprietor at Messrs. Afif Che Had & Associates and a Senior Associate at Messrs. Nazri Azmi Islinda before joining Messrs. Nazmi Zaini Chambers as a Partner.

Afif’s area of expertise is criminal law primarily focused on defence work at the subordinate courts and appeals at the High Court of Malaya, the Court of Appeal, and Federal Court of Malaysia. He has extensive experience in handling complex commercial crime cases, capital punishment cases, drug offences, sexual offences, offences against the public order, and immigration cases. Aside from his criminal law expertise, Afif has diverse range of experience in real estate transactions, including conveyancing, financing agreements, wills, probate, and estate administration. Recently, Afif has broadened his practice to include corporate and commercial advisory work, where he provides creative solutions to high-net-worth clients on various corporate issues.
